FAQs

Enduro Power batteries are 100% safe & reliable. Our signature chemistry, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4), does not contain rare earth elements (like Cobalt) or heavy metals, is non-toxic, including no lead or acid, is non-corrosive, does not off gas, requires no watering or maintenance, can be placed in any orientation, and unlike other lithium batteries will not explode or catch fire. In addition, each Enduro Power battery is protected from over heating, over charging, and short circuiting, by a battery management system (BMS) microchip that also extends the lifespan and is contained in a rugged, waterproof case (although enough water can conduct electricity between the terminals, so don’t submerse the battery). For best performance & reliability we recommend using a LiFePO4 charger.

The beauty of our technology is its virtually maintenance free. You don’t need to trickle charge your lithium battery in storage because it only loses 3% of its capacity each month in storage. Once installed you never have to move the battery again. In fact you could leave a fully charged lithium battery in storage for up to 26 months without being charged and it will still have power left. This demonstrates the energy density of LiFePO4 technology, but we recommend charging more regularly because you deserve to be out finding adventures.

Our batteries are built with vibration handling in mind. We do this by limiting the number of internal connections. Rest assured our endurance focused mindset went into the design of your battery

The majority of the RV market gravitates to the 12V 100Ah (EN100BAJA) as many users find this as an easy drop-in replacement for upgrading to lithium batteries. As the need for off-grid living increases we see users gravitating to the larger capacity batteries in the 12V 200Ah (EN200BAJA) and 300Ah (EN300BAJA) ranges. These larger batteries provide higher capacities within one battery instead of the need to wire multiple batteries together.

Yes! All Enduro Power batteries have an operating temperature of -4F to 130F (-5 to 55C). All of our batteries feature Low Temperature Charging Protection to ensure your investment is protected. The BMS will not allow charging if the internal temperature of the battery is below 32F to avoid from potential irreversible damage to your LiFePO4 investment. We know you made the decision to simplify your life and spend more time seeking adventure, so we are now handling this for you.

- Yes, all Enduro Power lithium iron phosphates will deliver 2x the runtime while also providing more constant voltage throughout the charge cycle. Lithium voltages stay almost constant so no more slow stabilizer jacks or slide extensions issue you may have had in the past with a low charged lead-acid.

Keeping resistance low is critical in ensuring we have an efficient battery. We use M8 terminals with high spec’d large surface diameters for efficient contact. Each battery comes with 2 lengths of M8 bolts, washers and lock washers to allow for various application needs.

No! LiFePO4 batteries have no liquids or off-gassing to manage like lead-acid batteries. Lithium batteries provide you freedom to mount your batteries in just about any location in any position that fits your application.

Enduro Power batteries are designed for DEEP CYCLE applications. Our advanced lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) technology excels at storing energy and enduring long demands for power. They are not designed to be used as starter batteries for vehicles or other similar uses

Yes! You can use a standard battery charger and it will charge the batteries. However, since most chargers are designed for a lead acid battery, they are made to go up to a certain voltage. On a lead acid battery their "full" is about 13.8V. Our LiFePO4 batteries can accept a charge up to 14.6V. Most chargers will charge the batteries to 13.8V which will charge your Enduro Power battery to about 90%. For optimal performance, we recommend a charger with a lithium charge profile

Low (Cold) Temperature Charging Protection

Enduro Power batteries feature a high-performance battery monitoring system (BMS) designed to enhance safety and longevity of your investment. Each battery has an onboard BMS with:

• Over Current Protection • Over Voltage Protection • Under Voltage Protection • Overload Protection • High Temperature Protection • Low Temperature Protection • Short Circuit Protection • Cell Balancing

Enduro Power batteries can be connected in parallel. Parallel connections allow you to increase the ampere hour (Ah) capacity of the battery bank while maintaining the same voltage. Enduro Power’s high performance BMS supports up to 12 batteries wired in parallel. When possible, for best results we recommend using larger ampere hour (Ah) batteries to build larger capacity battery banks to reduce the number of batteries connected in parallel. This helps to reduce the number of connections which reduces the chance for inefficiencies and will make it easier to keep your LiFePO4 batteries in balance within the battery bank. Example: 3 x 12V200Ah is more efficient than 6 x 12V100Ah to build a 12V 600Ah battery bank

Enduro Power batteries can be connected in series. Series connections allow you to increase the voltage of the battery bank while maintaining the same ampere hour (Ah) capacity. Enduro Power batteries can be connected in series in 24V, 36V and 48V configurations. When possible, for best results we recommend using a battery closer to your desired system voltage. This helps to reduce the number of connections which reduces the chance for inefficiencies and will make it easier to keep your LiFePO4 batteries in balance within the battery bank. Example: 1 x 24V100Ah is more efficient than 2 x 12V100Ah wired in series due to less connections and simplified battery bank design that promotes better cell balancing.
